Watching the world slide by from the vantage of a Sea kayak off the shore of St Ives is one of life’s great pleasures. The Kayak tour can be taken on either a single or double kayak depending on your preference. Our open top kayaks are easy to use and require no previous experience. Trips are 1 1/2 hours long and all equipment is provided. Please note that whilst not particularly strenuous, a basic level of fitness and ability to swim is required. Children under 12 must share a double kayak with a responsible adult.

Group sessions are scheduled at different times each day depending on the tide. All equipment is provided free of charge, bring a towel, sunglasses and a drink to enjoy the journey.
PRIVATE kayak tour (1.5 - 2 hours)
Private kayak tours are ideal for large groups and families who want an experience that is uniquely tailored to their specific needs, ages and capabilities. These sessions can also be customised for hen parties, stag parties, team building days and birthday parties.

Our usual route sets out from Porthminster and heads west past the Harbour, Smeaton's Pier, Porthgwidden and finally round the Island to Porthmeor.

A reasonable level of fitness is required and the ability to swim 50m unaided is essential.

No, the tours are designed to introduce people to kayaking and teach basic paddling technique before leaving the beach.

The times change every day as we try to do them over the high tide when there is more to explore!

Obviously there is no guarantee but we often see seals, cormorants, gannets and occasionally dolphins and sunfish.
